At next turn's start-of-turn messages, it says I lost 0 and stole 4, for -4 total losses. I win, enslaving 2 Bakemono Archer, 1 Ako Oni (fire), 1 Ao Oni (frost).Ĥ. On their turn, Bakemono attacks me with 250 various on 12(!) ships.ģ. (This sea is a large 3x4 lake, fully landlocked.)Ģ. I move Void Lord + 1 Eldritch Abomination (both Amphibious) onto an inland sea tile adjacent to a Bakemono port. Oni still cannot deliberately enter water, because they lack Amphibious.īut if they drop from sky, or a ship sinks under them, or your Amphibious Void Lord enslaves them during naval combat, they'll survive indefinitely on waterġ. Prediction: This chain of events will repeat every turn.

Thereafter, they can waterwalk normally, with full MP (at 2 MP per sea hex). The result is that Oni, with no ship and no Amphibious, stand placidly on water. Hence, #1 triggers #2 and #3 during start-of-turn processing. At end of combat (or phase), all Spectral Oni revert to normal Oni of that type. When any Oni dies, it triggers a rebirth + full heal as a Spectral Oni of same type.Īll spectral Oni have Ethereal and Floating. Water-adverse means would-drown-in-water, and with no lofting or flotation effect. At start of turn, all water-adverse units drown (die). Thereafter, they can waterwalk for 1 turn! Summary: When Oni drown at start of turn, they survive!

Perhaps not a bug, just a nifty interaction of special rules!
